Cory Rickard

Cory Rickard is CFO within Business Transformation Services at ABW Medical, bringing several years of healthcare leadership and a strong foundation in federal and state reporting, audit, accounting, and finance topics. He focuses on delivering technical accounting expertise while helping organizations strengthen financial performance and align people, processes, and strategies. Through mentoring and developing high-performing teams, Cory enables providers to achieve sustainable results.

Before joining ABW Medical, Cory served as CFO of a critical access hospital in California, where he improved financial reporting, expanded services, and secured critical funding by building strong operational and payer relationships. Earlier, he led consulting teams at Wipfli LLP, supporting Critical Access Hospitals and FQHCs with accounting, finance, grants, and revenue cycle management.

Cory began his career with CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, performing attestation services across construction, manufacturing, healthcare, and many other industries. He later became Controller for a large heavy civil engineering and construction firm, overseeing accounting, finance, IT and HR functions while navigating complex state and federal requirements.

He holds an MBA from Utah State University, a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (WA). Outside of work, Cory enjoys cycling, running, and spending time outdoors with his wife and three children.
