Heather Sutherland is an accomplished healthcare technology and operations leader with over 15 years of experience driving enterprise system implementations, process optimization, and client success in complex healthcare environments.

As an Information Systems Analyst at Optum supporting Northern Light Health, Heather led strategic initiatives that streamline business operations, enhanced system functionality, and improved end-user experiences across multiple platforms, including ERP, payroll, HCM, and benefits solutions.

Prior to her current role, Heather served in several progressive positions at Optum and Northern Light Health, including ERP Application Analyst and Project Coordinator, where she managed high-impact projects, developed cross-functional workflows, and supported key organizational stakeholders. Her efforts have consistently contributed to improved operational outcomes and stakeholder alignment.

Heather began her healthcare technology career at athenahealth, where she supported enterprise clients in a variety of roles including Customer Success, Executive Support, and Client Services. She led onboarding, training, and executive issue resolution initiatives, while also mentoring staff and serving as a key liaison between clients and internal operational teams. Her tenure included recognition for outstanding performance and a demonstrated ability to resolve complex revenue cycle and technology issues with empathy and precision.

Heather holds an Associate of Science degree in Business from Thomas College and is recognized for her strengths in project and relationship management, systems analysis, and team collaboration.
