Born From One Single Goal: To Make Life Better
In 2008, Mathew Frazer, founder & CEO of ABW Medical, met a struggling physician in Santa Cruz who was over $1 million in debt, on the verge of bankruptcy, and had little time for his family. Mathew saw an opportunity to put his experience in business and technology to work to help make life better for this physician.
Mathew’s objective was to enhance the physician’s life by creating more revenue, time and peace of mind for the doctor and his staff. Much like Luke Fildes’ painting “The Doctor,” ABW originated from a commitment to service, and this dedication remains at the core of ABW’s mission.
By implementing athenahealth in 2009 and applying top-tier business processes learned at Stanford Business School and the Wharton School of Business, Mathew successfully transformed the practice. Under his 3-year leadership, the practice experienced significant growth, tripling its size, and achieving its best performance in 30 years.
